saying goodbye to summer (but refusing to give up my flip-flops)

Yup, it’s undeniable. Summer is long gone… or as many here in Rochester have been asking, was it ever here to begin with?
I have proof. However brief it was, the sun did shine and good times were had. Here are some of our adventures that we managed to squeeze in between the rain drops.

Relaxing with friends at Conesus lake…

This is what happens when my plans for a little photo shoot are overridden by the boys’ plans… buy hey, I like these better anyways.

A rare day when it was actually warm enough for a trip to the beach.

Camping at Stoneybrook, one of my favorite places ever.  Where we were able to get away from the stress & craziness of life and just be together, enjoying spending time with each other and friends that we love. Where Braden declared himself to be “the best tadpole catcher in the world!” and Riley stayed on dry land after spotting one too many water snakes.  When it was time to leave, I walked the boys down to the water one last time, they said their goodbyes to the place & cried.  We promised them longer camping trips next year and they decided they will float down the “river” on a tube and sleep under the stars…  can’t wait.
